Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of principal supervision on the professional competence of teachers at SDN 030 Ujung Tanjung, Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This research consists of two variables, namely principal supervision and teacher professional competence. The number of respondents in this study was 17 people. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. Based on the presentation and analysis of the data, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence between the principal's supervision (X) and the teacher's professional competence (Y). Based on the calculations, the correlation coefficient for variables X and Variable Y is 0.889. So it can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between principal supervision and teacher professional competency learning motivation at SDN 030 Ujung Tanjung. Principal supervision has a significant effect on teacher professional competence by 79.1%. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, namely that there is a positive influence of principal supervision on the professional competence of teachers at SDN 030 Ujung Tanjung Elementary School, Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
