Pengambilan Keputusan Keluarga Korban Bunuh Diri Terhadap Media Siber Pelanggar Peraturan Dewan Pers

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a decision-making process, followed by the creation of a tutorial or guide for families of suicide victims in Kampar, Riau, regarding cyber media that violates Press Council regulations. The research method used was qualitative research with paired comparison analysis. The steps were to create as many pairs of questions as possible, and then give the respondents (nuclear families) to complete them. The results were summarized in a percentage matrix. After the decision was made and evaluated, follow-up actions were developed up to the desired level, in accordance with applicable procedures. The regulations violated were specifically those that affected only the victims' families. The results of this study outline the decision-making process. The decision was taken with 100 percent of the victims' families requesting action, and 100 percent of the actions taken were requesting the right to correction. If not addressed, the option to request a retraction of the news was granted; 100 percent agreed. The tutorial or guide for families of suicide victims in Kampar, Riau, was developed in the form of a letter regarding cyber media that violates Press Council regulations
